Welcoming the stranger is a core principle of Judaism rooted in our texts and in our history. Drawing on these values, HIAS, as the oldest refugee agency, has long stood for the fair and equal treatment of those seeking asylum and refuge. In this program, we will learn about HIAS’ history, the important work being done today, and the current threats and challenges faced by immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. Join us to explore these topics and learn how you can take action in this moment. Host & Moderator Dr. Jacob Ari Labendz Director at Ramapo College of NJ Center for Holocaust & Genocide Studies
